Zij keek, half over het portier gebogen, door het open venstertje, als de trein in het station aankwam. Hij stond haar af te wachten; doch eerst herkende hij haar schier niet meer. Hij nam haar vriendelijk bij beide handen, terwijl zij blozend en glimlachend van den spoorbaanwagen stapte, en kuste haar bewogen op beide hare wangen. Zij zag er zoo goed uit, sprak hij.
