The Metamorphosis This translation, which has been prepared by Ian Johnston (kafka.org) and is in the public domain. I. One morning, as Gregor Samsa was waking up from anxious dreams, he discovered that in bed he had been changed into a monstrous verminous bug. He lay on his armour hard back and saw, as he lifted his head up a little, his brown, arched abdomen divided up into rigid bow like sections. Subject: Great listen
I had no idea what the story was about before downloading this book. It is an interesting and quick story, but the reading of this story is what made it fantastic. It was the little things about David Richardson's emphasis and tone that really enhanced the experience, for instance, he whispers the whispered dialogue.

An interesting, unique story and I enjoyed the reader, as well!

This has been one of my favorite listens - a great book and a very easy listen (I'd always assumed Kafka would be too highbrow for me!) David Richardson is a really good reader too, he sounds so professional and brings just the right amount of intrigue/scariness to the reading! Many thanks for his hard work.
