The Mountain

Curdie was the son of Peter the miner.  He lived with his father and mother in a cottage built on a mountain, and he worked with his father inside the mountain. An absolutly wonderful story. Be sure and listen to part one − "The Princess and the Goblin". Lizzie Driver is the perfect voice for these two novels.

What the H. is with putting the ridiculous inflections in completely random places CONSTANTLY? It's completely ruined the story. I honestly can't even listen to it. It drives me absolutely insane. I hope to god this woman doesn't go around speaking like that all the time because eventually somebody will rip the poor girl's throat out in a fit of rage. She has a beautiful voice, but Christ, is that ever obnoxious.
