Reviewer: AvidListener - 12/26/2007 13:06Subject: Wonderful... Superb reading, a real treat! Thank you, Mark, for doing this... |
Reviewer: FNH - 5/10/2008 21:13Subject: Free Audio, Review This is a classic Sci−Fi story, written in the hey−day of scifi where transistors were the new gee−whizz technology. It does therefore show its age a little. However the story is a fun light adventure. If your looking for a serious sci−fi story, this is not it. If your looking for a light adventure where the hero wins out just in the nick of time then this is the story for you. This is another Mark Nelson, recording. Mark makes outstanding recordings and does a nice range of voices. Reading = 3/3 Production = 3/3 Story = 2/3 Total = 8/9 Read more of my Reviews at http://freeaudioreview.blogspot.com |
Reviewer: xbeza - 7/9/2008 15:13Subject: Teen literature (B-class) If you don't feel like repeatedly shouting "terrific!" and "geeze!", you better skip this one. I begun skipping parts of the audio after the fifth chapter and I didn't miss them in the whole story. |
Reviewer: gracecloud - 11/20/2008 2:44Subject: I Love Librivox AND The Tom Swifts But am a tad annoyed with the sound effects. May we desist? |
Reviewer: mikezane - 12/2/2008 20:59Subject: Pretty good I must admit the sound effects were kind of annoying, but you could tell the reader put a lot of effort into the story. Nicely done. Story line is also good, if a bit old style. Worth a listen. |
Reviewer: lezhow - 12/21/2008 0:40Subject: Loved It Great read − real B grade sci fi presented with all the passion of a real fan. Mark delivered a great escape. |
